10 Changes To Fix WWE's Ratings Woes

4. Keep Track Of Who Fights Who

As a society, our attention spans are shorter than ever. When fans turn on the TV and see the same two people fighting each other every single week, it leads to them turning the channel. WWE either isn't creative enough to switch things up, or they just think we'll put up with whatever they put in front of us. The ratings suggest otherwise.

All it would take to alleviate so much apathy is to have someone keep track of which wrestlers just fought each other...and then not BOOKING IT AGAIN THE NEXT WEEK!

For just one of a million examples, a few months ago, Anderson and Gallows facing off against The New Day seemed like it would be a fun feud. WWE wasted no time in giving us every single variation of those two teams fighting over the course of a couple months. We soon became sick of it, and never wanted to see that combination again. Then WWE moved on to Anderson and Gallows vs. Enzo and Cass, and made us completely sick of that as well.

Now, you can get away with some rematches, and different variations of matches, but there has to be a limit, and WWE overdoes it in nearly every single feud. Just think, when is the last time you saw the end of a feud in the company and wish it had gone on longer?

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
