10 Changes WWE Hoped You Wouldn’t Notice
1. Edge & Christian Aren’t Brothers?
Canadian duo Edge and Christian were said to be brothers when the latter first burst onto the scene in 1998. Together, they acted as backup for Gangrel in The Brood before finding success as a grating tag-team who somehow clicked as the WWF's own Bill & Ted.
Everyone referred to them as siblings. Their family ties were even the basis for Christian's heel turn in 2001; "How could he do this to his own flesh and blood?!", cried Jim Ross. Paul Heyman, meanwhile, opined that Edge had been holding his brother down since they were kids.
WWE stopped this years later and repositioned the pair as great friends instead.
This new (jarring) presentation is something that continued right up until Christian left to join AEW last year. He and Edge are childhood friends, not literal bros. Huh? WWE obviously didn't view this as a big deal, and neither did Edge or Christian.
