A wise man once said that "controversy creates cash". Of course, that same dude (Eric Bischoff) also said, "Bring out the lesbians" on Raw in 2002. God only knows what Bisch thought about WWE's decision to briefly cast Liv Morgan and Lana as secret lovers in 2019.

Would this be a progressive love story? No, absolutely not. It was another last-minute drama that was only pushed out there to get people talking on social media. WWE didn't have much of a plan for Liv's teary outburst beyond that initial promo, and they got cold feet on the idea of a relationship almost immediately.

So, typically, Morgan's pursuit of Lana cooled.

She reunited with Ruby Riott and went back to jobbing in female tags. WWE distanced themselves from the thought that Morgan was in love with Lana - it was like fans had imagined it. The angle was a sorry waste of minutes that went exactly nowhere.
