10 Changes WWE Should Make To SmackDown Live On FOX

3. Introduce Round Robin Tournaments

WWE loves tournaments, obviously. However, whether it's the retired King of the Ring or occasional gold-rush tournament to determine a champion or #1 contender, they're usually content to only do single-elimination style. These work well enough to add some in-ring intrigue and set up future feuds, but often, they blow through it in a few weeks.

Round-Robins, on the other hand, are a great way to have a long and involved tournament that includes a large pool of superstars and build storylines from there. Of course, RRs are commonplace in international football leagues, but in wrestling, you also have the prestigious G1 Climax tournament, which is happening right now.

Of course, not all Round-Robins have to be month-long monsters like the G1. Even a four-man Round Robin tournament over a period of weeks on SmackDown would be a fun, dynamic way out of getting a variety of matches that build on each other as fans follow to see who ultimately comes out on top.

Just... don't give them bizarre names such as"Tag Team Eliminator", as they did back in April to determine the RAW tag champs (seriously, what was that about?)
