9. SmackDown To Become A More Relevant Show

Way back in 1999, Smackdown offered fans exactly what they wanted. In other words, it was another slice of WWF programming each week. Things have changed as time has progressed through to 2015, people no longer see Smackdown as essential viewing. WWE's business model is partly to blame for that, because there's so much content out there now. On the other hand, the promotion have done little to make Smackdown must-see television. All too often over the years it has become little more than a retread of Monday Night Raw. That's unacceptable, and downright lazy. For a company with the resources of WWE, every single show must feel interesting. For 2016, there's fresh hope that Smackdown will once again become relevant. A lot of this hinges of how WWE keep momentum going after the first few months of the USA Network deal. The show is set to join Raw on the channel, leading many to believe it will be treated with more consideration. Rumours that Smackdown will become an NXT exclusive show have also been welcomed by some, but most would settle for WWE actually paying attention to the program again.
