10 Classic Jeff Jarrett Matches You Need To See

6. Vs Diesel (WWE Raw, February 20th 1995)

The show-piece match of a moribund edition of Monday Night Raw, Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett was airlifted in to give WWE Champion Diesel a much needed credible victory on the flagship show in between pay-per-view wrestling lessons 'Big Daddy Cool' received from Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels.

A fine forgotten fight from a similarly less-than-memorable period for the company, Diesel's dominance wouldn't have been in doubt had it not been for the exceptional and logical assault on his legs from the cagey challenger.

Basking in the arrogance of his secondary title victory the prior month, Jarrett had made an unrealistic charge for the top strap in even getting the match, but then had to try and fake it to make it against the 7-foot monster.

Again employing interference from The Roadie as he had done to win his own prize, the sinister sidekick lead the chicanery every time Jarrett was able to deposit Diesel to the floor. 'Double J' drew significant sympathy for the monster champion too - a necessary requirement to facilitate the Champion's eventual comeback. All ripped attire and torn ligaments, he sold beautifully for Diesel's closing salvo.
