4. The Rock 'n' Roll Express

Despite a hugely successful heyday in the 1980s, one thing that had eluded the Rock 'n' Roll Express their entire careers was a legit run in WWE.

The Express had had a handful of brief tenures in the WWF before, most notably in September '93, November '93 and July '94. The duo had even appeared at Survivor Series 1993, losing the SMW Tag Team Championships to Jim Cornette's Heavenly Bodies. However, it wasn't until 1998 that Ricky and Robert would finally get their full-time run in McMahonland.

Strangely enough, the team were brought in by long-time adversary, Jim Cornette, as part of his NWA stable. Sadly, in an era where tradition was more irrelevant than ever, it seemed that The Express had arrived ten years too late. Regardless of timing, Ricky and Robert were finally a part of WWF roster.

The NWA legends battled a number of high-profile tag teams during their time in WWF, including LOD, The Godwinns and DOA. The veterans even dropped the NWA Tag Team Championships to The Headbangers during their run, while they also worked with The New Midnight Express in an attempt to get the revamped team over. Regardless, the Express lasted just four months before returning to the independent circuit.
