7. Triple H Wasn't A Big Enough Match At WrestleMania 30... But It Was Big Enough For Daniel Bryan
CM Punk hasn't formally commented on his reasons for quitting WWE, but backstage talk suggested he was unhappy at plans for him to face Triple H at WrestleMania 30. If this was the case, then the irony is that Triple H ended up being the BEST match at WrestleMania 30. The Game's opening effort against Daniel Bryan was easily the match of the night. You could even argue it was the best match of the entire 2014 - although Bryan's battle against Bray Wyatt at Royal Rumble offers serious contention. So, why did Punk think he was so much bigger than a match with The Game? It was after all a great spot, so many of the roster would've killed for that gig at Mania. In Punk's mind though, it was a slight. He wanted the closing main event of WrestleMania 30, otherwise he was going to take his ball and go home. He could've had a great wrestling match with a legitimate industry legend, but instead he decided to sit on his couch. At least his snubbery allowed Daniel Bryan to capitalise.
