4. Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin isn't as bad as his many critics make out. He carries himself - and it's vulgar - but the best way your writer can think to put it is as a piece of sh*t. Just a nasty, careless, aloof, entitled guy. He has body language nailed down - it's just that this approach to character doesn't translate to entertaining or even interesting pro wrestling matches.

His style is almost defiantly ugly. There's no intensity to it. He just sort of ambles about, sluggishly striking his opponents with a detached sloppiness. It works on paper. He's an intentionally boring, no-frills bruiser who wrestles a style antithetical to what's popular. It might translate better, if he were to establish that foundation and race through the gears with a reluctant urgency, once his babyface foes get the better of him during their comebacks - but he doesn't. He only knows one, and it yields very little excitement.

The approach might work, if he were part of a big man tag team. But he isn't; he's a singles act pushed far beyond his limitations. It's especially irritating, given that there are plenty of other guys on the roster far more capable of generating effective heel heat. Neville, for example, can reconcile workrate and character.

Corbin, alas, cannot.
