10 Common WWE Things You Won't See In AEW

1. Constant Title Changes

The age old question: does the man make the belt, or does the belt make the man?

WWE has become far too reliant on the latter rather than the former in recent memory, and that has led to some titles being forgotten or losing relevance in the process. The Intercontinental Championship may be the perfect example, having been a near-main event card title for years.

Now, the current champion Shinsuke Nakamura won the belt on the pre-show of Extreme Rules.

And part of that is in the frequency of the title changes. Keeping with the Intercontinental title as a theme, take a look at the past five champions (excluding Shinsuke), and 4 of them held the belt for 33 days or less. So basically, in the time it takes to build to a new pay-per-view, you've got a new champion. This does nobody any favors, and makes the belt feel like a meaningless prop.

AEW needs to do the complete opposite of this. Granted, they have much fewer trophies to dish out, but that makes it all the more important that they get them all right. Chris Jericho should have a death grip on the belt (especially after celebrating with a little bit of the bubbly in Tallahassee) for quite some time to let that belt gain some prestige and value. Then a few months down the road, after some big name contenders are slain, the crown will feel even heavier.

And so will the pressure on the competition.
