10 Common WWE Things You Won't See In AEW
7. Random Tag Teams
Arguably the strongest part of AEW is their deep tag division.
It is staggering to think of the talent that will be involved with the tag tournament upcoming, and picking a winner is a complete guessing game at this point, with how well-presented every team has been thus far. Therefore, AEW will not have any Strowman and Rollins shenanigans in store anytime soon.
These random teams, like Roode and Ziggler, Strowman and Rollins, and even to a lesser degree Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss (although that has evolved nicely) are a part of a bigger problem in the WWE. They have a lack of confidence in their established teams.
Gallows and Anderson got to hold the gold for all of 21 days. The thrown-together tag team that took their titles have already surpassed that going into Clash of Champions, all whilst AOP, Ryder and Hawkins, Ascension, and Lucha House Party don't even wrestle on RAW. And then you have the Viking Raiders eating jobbers and the Street Profits stuck in limbo between NXT and RAW.
There is not a single team that WWE seems willing to go all in with...
...which is the exact opposite of the problem AEW has. They may have too many teams they believe in, so it will force some tough losses. Just ask Jack Evans and Angelico, who have yet to take a victory.
But them giving those losses feels more meaningful than some random jobbers, or two people who have never tagged before, right?
