Ever since The Rock was defeated at WrestleMania 29, the WWE Universe has speculated over his in ring return as an active wrestler. Perhaps his return could transpire at WrestleMania 31 against Goldberg. After all The Rock has previous history with Goldberg and has never defeated him in a singles wrestling match. What better way of avenging his Backlash 2003 loss to Goldberg than by defeating him in his first match in a WWE ring in over a decade. Of course The Rock would be returning to the WWE ring as well as Goldberg, so the WWE Creative Team would have an opportunity of working a storyline in which Goldberg criticises The Rock for losing to Cena, and The Rock criticises Goldberg for following Steve Austin in 'picking up his ball and going home.' A personal rivalry could subsequently ensue leading to an exciting match at WrestleMania 31.
