10 Contenders To Replace Daniel Bryan As WWE SmackDown General Manager
6. Nikki Bella
Speaking of female authority figures, Nikki Bella has expressed an interest in replacing Daniel Bryan as SmackDown Live General Manager. The former two-time WWE Divas Champion has been absent from the company since WrestleMania 33 when John Cena proposed to her in the middle of the ring. Her soon-to-be-husband carries a lot of clout in the promotion - could he see Nikki inserted into a position of power?
This is exactly the sort of move that WWE is likely to make, but I don’t think many fans will be clamouring to see the Fearless One in charge. She may still have some value as a veteran in-ring competitor, but the last thing the blue show needs is an authority figure with mediocre (at best) microphone skills.
Still, Nikki Bella’s entire family is full of WWE leadership knowledge. Former RAW GM John Laurinaitis is her father-in-law, and her sister is the wife of the current SmackDown General Manager. Nikki Bella’s CV is equal parts perfect and completely lacking, but she can’t be ruled out.
