10 Contenders To Replace JBL On WWE SmackDown Live

5. Vic Joseph

His work has somewhat flown under the radar, as 205 Live is seemingly watched by only the most hardcore of hardcore fans. Vic Joseph has been doing play-by-play duty on the cruiserweight show for a couple of months now, and his work alongside Corey Graves has been exemplary.

WWE has bravely promoted inexperienced announcers to prominent SmackDown roles in the past, and Joseph could be the next in line for the jump. Joseph has shown that he knows how to work the WWE commentary style, and if given the chance could well shine in a more major role.

The logistical side of Vic Joseph moving to SmackDown is also taken care of, as 205 Live is taped immediately following the Tuesday night main roster show. That would mean a long night of work for Vic Joseph, but when opportunity knocks one can't complain about such things. If Joseph were to be a success, the SmackDown table would be in safe hands for years to come.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
