10 Most Controversial 'Shoot' Comments From WWE TV
5. Flair And Foley
Foley and Flair had a heated real-life feud in 2004 due to comments published in both men's autobiographies. In his first book Have A Nice Day! Foley ripped into Flair for ignoring him when he was an up-and-coming member of the WCW roster and Flair was on the booking committee saying that 'Flair was every bit as bad on the booking side of things as he was great on the wrestling side'. Justified criticism, you might say. Well, Flair didn't take this too well and shot back in his book To Be The Man calling Foley a 'glorified stuntman' amongst other things. The two almost had a fight backstage at a WWE event in 2004 before Foley walked away and let Flair cool off. The two used this as ammunition for an on-screen feud in 2006 and used further shoot comments on WWE TV to promote their matches. A lot of this was lost on the casual audience who weren't aware of the two men's past issues with each other but made for compelling television to those who did. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tuqogB9szk
