10 Most Controversial WWE "Wellness Policy" Scandals

6. Carlito

WWE.comWWE.comPer the rules with the WWE's Wellness Policy, if you refuse to enter a rehabilitate facility after a violation of the policy, you're dismissed immediately. It doesn't matter whether it's first, second or third strike - you're gone. And that ruling is what cost Carlito his WWE career. He had a pretty good run with the WWE, winning both the United States and Intercontinental Championship during his time with the company. However, not long after becoming one half of the unified tag champions - with brother Primo - Carlito was caught out by the WWE for violating the policy. It was for a reported addiction to painkillers, and after Carlito decided rehab wasn't for him, he was given the bullet immediately. That was a shame, as Carlito was a pretty decent guy to have around on the roster. He spat in the face of people who didn't want to be cool. But after refusing to enter rehab, the WWE spat in the face of Carlito's contract.
