10 Most Controversial WWE "Wellness Policy" Scandals

5. Rob Van Dam

WWE.comWWE.comOut of all the men who have lost the most when it comes to violating the infamous Wellness Policy, the consequences from Rob Van Dam's suspension were absolutely huge. The suspension came about after RVD and Sabu were stopped by police on their way home from an ECW show for speeding. However, police found drugs in their possession when they stopped the car, and they were ultimately arrested. Naturally, that led to a 30-day suspension for Van Dam, who was in a pretty hefty position with the company at that time. He was the WWE and the ECW Champion at that period, as it wasn't long after that epic victory against John Cena at ECW One Night Stand. He had Paul Heyman turn on him, and he lost both belts in the space of 48 hours. And rather predictably, RVD's career with the WWE hasn't been the same since. If there's one shining example of how a violation of the Wellness Policy can destroy your career, look straight at Rob Van Dam.
