10 Most Controversial WWE "Wellness Policy" Scandals

3. William Regal

flickrflickrBack in 2008, William Regal was enjoying a pretty significant push - at least for a guy of his stature in the WWE. He wasn't exactly WWE champion material, but he had just won the King of the Ring tournament. He was operating as a pretty substantial heel, working as the Raw General Manager. Things were interesting in the life of Regal - but it was all about to come crashing down. Regal already had one strike (and a subsequent 30-day ban) to his name with the WWE Wellness Policy, so when he was suspended for a second time, he had to take a 60-day break from proceedings. That forced the company to write him out of their storylines, and Regal was placed into a "Loser Gets Fired" match against Mr. Kennedy. Naturally, he lost it, and was kayfabe fired from the company. He would return after his suspension and compete with the WWE once again as a "free agent", but unfortunately, his push had absolutely collapsed.
