10 Most Controversial WWE "Wellness Policy" Scandals

2. Rey Mysterio

WWE.comWWE.comIt's truly amazing to think that one of the company's top stars (at least with younger viewers) has such a poor track record with the WWE Wellness Policy. One strike wasn't enough for Rey Mysterio, who actually picked up two suspensions over the years for violating the policy. His first came after he was unable to provide a prescription for what he claimed were drugs to treat his arm and knee. With no proof of any prescription drug, Mysterio picked up a ban. Like Jeff Hardy, he was also forced to drop the Intercontinental Championship, but reports at the time said he refused to drop it to Dolph Ziggler (who he was in the midst of a feud with). So, the plans changed, and John Morrison was given the strap. Fast forward three years though, and Mysterio was at it again. A second suspension in 2012 saw him miss a good chunk of the year - and Mysterio's career has rarely been the same since. With just one strike left (technically), Rey is very much on thin ice.
