9. Ric Flair Strips To Get A Rematch - 19th April 1999

Flair had been feuding with Bischoff for several months, culminating in a match at Starrcade 1999, which Bischoff had won after interference from one of Flair€™s allies, Curt Hennig. The following night on Nitro, Flair came to the ring and delivered one of his trademark €˜frothing-at-the-mouth€™ promos, during which he demanded a rematch €“ this time, for the presidency of WCW €“ or he would leave the company. Stripping down to his boxer shorts, babbling about his custom made suits and then elbow dropping them, Flair was nothing less but captivating€ but sadly, for the wrong reasons. Finally, the Nature Boy handcuffed himself to the ropes, clinging to them with arms and legs, semi-naked, still screaming unintelligibly while Mean Gene Okerlund attempted to go to commercial. Needless to say, Flair got his rematch, and went on to beat Bischoff and become WCW President. The increasingly irrational babyface boss immediately began booking himself in matches against a heel Hollywood Hulk Hogan for the WCW Championship, leading to a double turn that people would just as soon forget.
