10 Craziest Matches In WWE SummerSlam History

4. Mankind Vs. The Undertaker - Boiler Room Brawl (1996)

While many of the earlier entries on this list are stipulations that we’ve seen before, the same can’t be said for this next bout. In 1996, Mankind met the Undertaker in a super rare Boiler Room Brawl match, which did exactly what it said on the tin, really.

Unsurprisingly, a multitude of weapons were used and since this was in a boiler room, after all, they were rather different to the ones you’d usually see in a WWE ring.

Pipes, poles, wooden pallets, and some kind of sawhorse (not sure why that was in the boiler room) were all employed in one way or another. And we also saw the debut of a new type of foreign object: steam, which was used by Mankind to blind The Deadman, in what has to be a WWE first.

In amongst all that we’d bare witness to Mankind taking a huge bump from the top of a ladder, before the action ended up back in the ring. Of course, Mankind still picked the unprotected concrete at ringside as the spot for his second major bump of the evening, rather than the slightly more forgiving in-ring canvass.

It may not be at the same level as their iconic Hell in a Cell contest, but the stipulation on this one and the action that ensued still produced a pretty mad match-up.
