8. Stephanie McMahon (2014)
Fear not though, because for all of that injustice dished
out by the McMahon’s, here we have a piece of retribution.
A few months on from his WrestleMania victory, and Daniel Bryan was still very much in the Authority’s bad books. He was also nursing a career-threatening injury, causing Stephanie McMahon to issue a rather extreme ultimatum: either he vacated his WWE World Heavyweight Championship, or his wife Brie Bella would be fired instead.
Ultimately, Stephanie’s plan would backfire with Brie instead quitting of her own volition, but she was back on Raw a few weeks later to cheer on her twin sister Nikki from the crowd. Seeking the last laugh, Stephanie couldn’t resist sticking her nose in, confronting Brie before dishing out one of her trademarks slaps.
Which, given that Brie was a paying customer, technically constituted assaulting a fan. Before the show was done, officers would arrive to poop on Steph’s party, inform her of the charges, and escort her to jail.
What made this one so significant was that Stephanie actually
got her comeuppance, and Steph never gets
her comeuppance, making her degrading arrest something of a collector’s item.
