10 Craziest Wrestling Rumors That Could Come True

6. John Cena Beats Ric Flair's Record

Ric Flair jumped ship to All Elite Wrestling in 2023 to be in the corner of friend and rival Sting in his last ever programme as an active wrestler.

He'd already left WWE before that to have a final match of his own: a bloodbath where he teamed with son-in-law Andrade El Ídolo to face Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. It was a sad way to finish a career that could've and should've had the perfect ending at WrestleMania 24.

How many chances will WWE give the Nature Boy to leave? Despite only spending a few of his peak years in WWE, Vince McMahon loved to push Naitch at the greatest of all-time. His 16 world championship reigns (ignore those unrecognised title changes across the world) hasn't been topped... but it has been equalled.

Kurt Angle told Sportskeeda that he thinks fellow 16-time world champion Cena will do it; he said Randy Orton might as well. Not only that, but John Cena is always rumoured to be on his way back to WWE. With a second world title floating around there's even more chance this could happen now he's already lost to Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Triple H being in charge could be a reason why this doesn't happen. With Vince McMahon no longer breathing down his neck like he was before, Hunter can protect the legacy of one of his favourite wrestlers ever.

When I'm not trying my hardest to visit all 50 U.S. states, I'm listening to music from the 80s, watching TV from the 90s, and reminiscing about growing up in the 00s. I'm currently living in Melbourne, Australia so WWE premium live events are on Sunday afternoons for me; the absolute dream.
