8. Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania XXIV)

A few hours after Shelton Benjamin had risked his life to put on a show in the Money In The Bank Ladder match, that pesky Shawn Michaels was stealing it and proving why people had started to call him "Mr. WrestleMania".

During his retirement match with Ric Flair at XXIV, Michaels performed a trademark Moonsault, only this time he was flipping onto the announce table. It was a spot Shawn had used before, and it always looked spectacular. It's just a shame the bloody table didn't break on command.

Hammering the mix of wood and plastic hard with his ribs, Michaels almost broke himself in two.

Flair's concern was written all over his face seconds later as Shawn lay next to him sucking wind and wondering if he'd cracked a rib. Seeing the front of the table refuse to buckle under HBK's weight and stick into his ribcage is painful to watch.
