The first ever TLC match was unlike anything we'd ever seen before, and the bump that Bubba Ray Dudley took near the match's grand finale arguably set the precedent for every TLC match that followed. After Jeff Hardy had just missed a Swanton Bomb on Bubba to send himself crashing through a table, Bubba scaled a humongous ladder to make a grab for the gold... ...until Edge and Christian turned up, pushed him straight off that ladder and through what looked like about 200 tables. It was brutal, it was jaw-dropping, and while many would imitate the bump in the years to come, few matched the initial shock of seeing a grown, big-ass man fall a solid 20 feet, with only that cold, hard, splintered wood there to break his fall.
