10 CRAZY Last-Minute Picks To Win WWE Royal Rumble 2022
7. Sheamus
He’s a company veteran, a consistent and reliable presence, a multi-time world champ and a former Rumble winner. Sheamus certainly doesn’t need another Royal Rumble victory. The thing is, though, for his work over the past two years or so, he absolutely deserves it.
Sheamus hasn’t just kept going across the pandemic, he’s been one of the company’s very best performers, and put in some career best work. His feud with Drew McIntyre kept Raw moving when just about everything else was unwatchable, and his bout with Riddle at WrestleMania was arguably the best match of night two.
Let’s say for argument’s sake the title is taken off either Brock or Roman pre-’Mania so that the remaining strap can be on the line for their match. That could set the stage for the belt to be passed back to Drew (or, whisper it, Cesaro), who could then have one more gloriously stiff match with the Celtic Warrior.
He’s in impeccable shape, but Sheamus is entering the twilight of his career and only now seems to be getting the recognition he deserves as a true great. He’s given an immense amount to the company and deserves to go out like a star.
