1. Asuka Fancies Wrestling Ric Flair
Meanwhile, Asuka was pitching "dream matches" with the 'Nature Boy' a year or so before he wrestled what's supposedly his last hurrah. The Japanese star told interviewers that she'd love to convince WWE to let her lace up the boots for a showdown with Ric Flair on pay-per-view.
That sounds like a fever dream more than a dream match.
Firstly, WWE don't really like inter-gender physicality. They've done it, but less so in the modern era, and tend to shy away from the thought of male vs. female matches as a general rule. Second, Asuka vs. Ric Flair sounds like something that'd even be bizarre in WWE 2K22 (let alone in real life).
She wanted it badly though, and mentioned that Triple H would be her preferred backup opponent if Ric couldn't make the gig. Woooooooo-n't somebody tell Asuka to chill? This was never going to happen.
