6. Cody Challenges For A Title He Already Held
Cody Rhodes, for better and worse, is one of the most talked about names in the wrestling industry, yet, many fans forget his entry to the main stage of sports entertainment. Cody's first angle saw him work alongside Hardcore Holly in a master/mentor partnership.

Cody and Holly had a fairly successful 202-day run with the World Tag Team Championships, fending off all challenges but finding their biggest threat was a single man, Ted DiBiase Jr. While DiBiase Jr. isn't known for setting the wrestling world alight, at Night of Champions 2008 he swerved his way to title success in his first WWE match.
Set to take on the champions with a mystery partner, DiBiase quickly dropped the conceit, revealing Cody as his co-challenger. Cody and DiBiase were triumphant in the handicap match, putting Rhodes in the odd position of challenging for and winning a championship that was already in his possession.
