10 Crazy Wrestling Angles That Shouldn't Have Worked (But Did)

1. Jey Uso's Quest To Replace Roman At The Head Of The Table

For his entire tenure with the WWE, Jey Uso has been a part of the tag team The Usos, with his brother, Jimmy Uso. Married to another WWE Superstar, Noami, in real life, Jey's career has mainly been focused around the evolution of the Usos as a team and their quest for gold.

Never really being taken seriously or given much if any of a push, the Usos took on more of a street-like persona, proclaiming, "Welcome, to the Uso Penitentiary", complete with new theme music and look.

When Jimmy became injured, Jey found himself in the right place, at the right time, and as someone who had never been seen as top tier talent, went from just another tag team wrestler, to main-eventing two PPV's, challenging his cousin Roman Reigns back to back for the Universal Championship.

Usually, this wouldn't be all the thrilling of a storyline, but the family dynamic they brought into the story, and the power struggle between love and hate and tough love, really elevated Jey to a new stratosphere, as the horizon definitely looks promising for one Jey Uso.

What’s up fellow Pro-Wrestling FANADDICTS, (and yes, I’m a aware that is not the correct way to spell “fanatics,” but I thought since this was my introduction I’d ease everyone into my sarcastic sense of humor before just jumping off the proverbial high-dive.) ANYWHO, I have been OBSESSED, and not just because I legitimately was diagnosed at 8 years old with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, with Pro-Wrestling. It is BAR-NONE, my biggest passion in life. If I didn’t have to pay bills, I’d do it for free! (Work in the industry in any capacity).
