10 Crazy WWE Raw Moments You Totally Don't Remember

4. Sabu Falls Off The Raw Logo

Surprise, surprise: it’s Sabu again!

The Houdini of Hardcore’s first real WWE run didn’t commence until 2006, but he appeared on Raw long before that. ECW’s Paul Heyman was looking for new, exciting ways to promote his company in 1997, and after establishing a working relationship with Vince McMahon, Heyman brought his wrestlers to WWF programming.

The likes of Sandman and Tommy Dreamer were spotted ringside at WWF shows, and Jerry Lawler routinely lay into the company on commentary. ECW wrestlers started holding their trademark hardcore angles and matches on Monday Night Raw, and Sabu was at the heart of the storyline, regularly clashing with Taz and his allies.

One episode of Raw saw ECW’s biggest lunatic scale the show’s gigantic logo to intimidate Taz. Unfortunately, in one of the most infamous botches of his career, Sabu slipped and fell off the R. Crew members were fortunately able to break Sabu’s fall, and the man himself got right back up and leapt in Taz’s face, but he was extremely fortunate. The accident became an inside joke between Sabu and Taz backstage, and it was the first big Raw moment of Sabu’s career.
