When looking at the landscape of the WWE's women's roster, Charlotte Flair is the name who instantly jumps out as the favourite to win the women's Royal Rumble match. But away from the Queen, many wrestling fans are of the mindset that Ronda Rousey could be a surprise entrant in the Rumble - with Rowdy Ronda then likely to emerge victorious from that 30-woman battle.

That would certainly be one way to handle Rousey's inevitable return to action, and that could indeed be one way to put her on the path to a WrestleMania rematch against the Raw Women's Champion, Becky Lynch.

To go another way with all of this, however, it might be a smarter move to have Ronda's Royal Rumble return see her screw over Becky in the Man's title defence against Asuka.

That instantly reheats the rivalry between Rousey and Lynch, while simultaneously adds to the mystique of Asuka as being Becky's 'white whale' that she just can't topple - even if the Empress of Tomorrow's win at the Rumble is only down to the interference of Ronda.

And let's face it, there's more than enough juice in the Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch dynamic that any such WrestleMania rematch doesn't necessarily need a title on the line.
