10 Creative Ways To Make Roman Reigns WWE's Top Babyface
9. Avoid Association With Further Royal Rumble Woes
Damning verdict on the fickle nature of wrestling fans or not, Roman Reigns was not an overwhelmingly positive choice to win the 2015 Royal Rumble match. In 2014, fans were all over the idea, far preferring him to Batista. They didn't get the result they wanted on that night, and the same thing happened just 12 months later. Daniel Bryan was the vastly more popular choice. For the 2016 Royal Rumble, it's likely Reigns could be involved in the 30-man over-the-top-rope spectacle. That should be avoided, because it won't do him any favours. Given his stature, it'd be silly to picture a scenario whereby Reigns isn't close to winning. That won't go down well, so WWE should simply side-step the notion altogether and find something else for him to do on the show. Over the years, the Rumble has become somewhat of a poison chalice. It's genuinely difficult for WWE to find a winner fans really want to see emerge victorious. Roman Reigns won't be that man in 2016, so don't put him in the situation. Involve him in a title bout, or another marquee battle on the show instead. This keeps him away from a bout he'd be expected to win, and avoids the surefire negative fan response from fans as a result.
