People can say what they like about Michael Cole, but the guy does a sparkling job dealing with all the content WWE throws his way weekly. It can't be easy to get through that mountain of information in a concise format each week, but Cole manages it. Jim Ross has even said as much himself on his podcast.

Speaking of Ross, he's one of the most beloved wrestling announcers in history. His storytelling and passion have arguably never been matched, and he can talk with the best of them. Something the cowboy hat-wearing Oklahoma native can't do is spit some rhymes.

That fact didn't deter WWE from booking a 'Rap Battle' between Ross and Cole on the December 12, 2011 edition of Monday Night Raw. As Slammy Awards were handed out, the announcers stumbled through their segment to the entertainment of very few.

Hung out to dry by those writing the episode, JR and Cole didn't even offer much humour with their seemingly unscripted rapping attempts. Bless those fans in the first few rows, they really tried to put on a brave face, even though the situation quickly became embarrassing for all concerned.
