Post-WrestleMania, it was always going to be interesting to see what 2005 had in store next for Batista. Proving they were serious about pushing him to the forefront, WWE continued his feud against Triple H. At Backlash, another fine match was won by the champion. From there, he defended against Edge, before 'The Game' came back into the title picture. At the time, a lot of fans were initially frosty towards the idea of yet another Batista vs. Triple H title clash. The news that the bout would take place inside Hell In A Cell eased that frustration however, and the match ended up being an absolute stormer. Taking place at Vengeance in June, the battle inside the ominous structure was a fitting end to what proved to be a crucial feud for Batista. Credit where credit is due, Triple H did everything he could to make Batista look like a world beater. There was no comeback win either, because it was time for the World Heavyweight Champion to once again earn a living on the blue brand in WWE. The rivalry with Triple H had reaped big rewards for Batista, and there were more around the corner.
