10 Cruelest WWE Moments

7. Piggy James

Body issues are a problem for millions of women. Despite WWE's universe being built around the supposed toughest fighters in the world, they forego that qualification when hiring women. This is why we see more Kelly Kellys on TV and less Sara Del Rays. As we've seen so far, WWE can be a mean-spirited place that more closely resembles a high school than a giant corporation. In 2010, since Mickie James wasn't quite at Layla and Michelle McCool level of thinness, she was mocked on air for her size. LayCool couldn't stop picking on her. They called her "Piggy James" and tormented her relentlessly. They bought her a Jenny Craig gift certificate, they ate out of a small trough like a pig, they shoved a cake in the shape of a pig in her face, and Layla even dressed in a fat suit (complete with pig nose) pretending to be James. This was all despite the fact that Mickie was only slightly bigger than LayCool. These segments would then end with Mickie crying. It was a horrible message to send to young women, and really all of humanity. Some may argue that it was just a storyline, and point to Mickie winning the Divas title from McCool as revenge. However, it was LayCool who won the feud and took the title back in the end. Oh, and which one of the three was released? Shortly after the Piggy James storyline wrapped up, it was Mickie who was let go. This is despite being more popular, more charismatic, and a better wrestler than McCool and Layla. The only thing that WWE cared about though was a little extra weight.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
