10 Current NXT Stars Who Will Struggle On WWE's Main Roster

5. Wesley Blake

Obviously, it would be wrong of us not give a mention to Wesley Blake after including his former tag team partner Buddy Murphy. The latter has at least been seen (albeit sporadically) on NXT over the last 12 months.

Blake, meanwhile, has practically become the invisible man since parting ways with the Aussie in mid-2016, occasionally popping up for a tag team match alongside Steve Cutler (someone who would be a candidate for this list if there was any chance at all of him appearing on the main roster).

It's not that there's anything wrong with the 30-year-old as a performer, of course. It's just that, as a consequence of his being left to rot for so long, there is little that sets him apart from a whole host of similar-looking, similarly-aged stars currently plying their trade in Orlando.

Like many others on this list, his best bet may be to begin a new tag team - if not get the band back together with Murphy and try a complete reboot. Otherwise, you can easily see him doing a Curt Hawkins when (or rather, if) he reaches the promised land.
