10 Current WWE Superstars Who Should Be World Champion In The Next Year

8. Shinsuke Nakamura

Going back and watching Nakamura's two live entrances for his title shots against AJ Styles in 2018, you can't help but appreciate how magnetic the man is. Those bouts underwhelmed back then and may have contributed to Nakamura's slide into the mid-card - a position he's occupied for the past two years.

Styles was too early in his run to drop the belt two years ago, and Shinsuke is no longer in a great position of strength to be going after either world title right now. However, The Artist's fortunes can be easily turned around with a couple of months worth of a singles run, letting him be the man he can be between the ropes.

Let him wrestle a series of matches in his crushing strong style, and we will remember just how damn good he really is. The charisma just drips out of every movement. Also, he's the third former NXT champion in a row to make the list. Perhaps the 'developmental' brand should be used as a stepping stone, testing the waters for future main eventers? Just a thought...
