Like Alberto Del Rio, Shinsuke Nakamura has a previous history as a fighter. He has a 3-1 record in five fights (including one no contest).
Nakamura is trained in the vale tudo style of fighting, which translates to "anything goes". It's a hybrid style of fighting that is widely believed to be the precursor to the modern form of mixed martial arts. At 6'2" and 229 pounds, Nakamura does have a size and strength advantage over McGregor.
If these two ever did get together for a fight though, it would be extremely interesting based on both men's charisma.
