10 Daniel Bryan WWE Matches You Have To Watch

7. Daniel Bryan Vs. Bray Wyatt (Royal Rumble 2014)

One of the matches that often gets overlooked is the bout between Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt to kick off Royal Rumble 2014.

This match came on the heels of the awful “Daniel Wyatt” storyline (more on that later), with Bryan standing up to the cult leader and facing him at the PPV. The two had an outstanding bout that made Wyatt look great (he won) and freed Bryan from the feud, seemingly so he could move on to bigger and better things.

Interestingly, that was Bryan’s only match on the card. Fans expected him to enter the Rumble and hopefully win so he could achieve his dream of winning the title and ending the Authority’s reign of terror. But he never entered the Rumble, which led to the Yes Movement taking over Raw week after week.

And that of course meant that this fun match often gets forgotten.
