Accomplishments: 9 Time Hardcore Champion; 3 Time Intercontinental Champion; 3 Time Tag Team Champion The fact that Goldust is so high on this list is a little misleading. While he is a three time Intercontinental Champion and three time Tag Team Champion, it is actually his nine reigns as Hardcore Champion that have propelled him up the list. The thing about the Hardcore Championship, delightful oddity that it was during WWE's Attitude Era, was that at certain points it was defended under 24/7 rules, which lead to hilarious instances such as wrestlers being accosted in their hotel rooms and at restaurants etc. Basically, any time of the day and any place was fair game, and that meant that sometimes there would be a large amount of title changes in a single evening. It made for a superbly entertaining and innovative Hardcore division, and fans were sad to see the title retired in 2002, but it did leave some superstars with ridiculous amounts of short title reigns to their name. Raven holds the record, with 27 reigns that only actually amount to 94 days as Champion. Goldust's 9 reigns add up to even less: only 13 days. But hey, they all went down in the record books, so they had to go on the list. Those are the rules.
