For as long as he is on the roster, Roman Reigns is going to be one of WWE’s most consistently pushed wrestlers. They’ve shown no sign of swaying their course with him, and the heel turn is starting to look like nothing more with wishful thinking. If WWE want to get the best out of their rumoured WrestleMania 34 main event of Reigns vs. Lesnar, however, this is exactly what they need to do.

Regardless of their official alignments, it’s safe to say that Roman is going to be booed in New Orleans, and Lesnar will be cheered. Thus, turning both men to match their crowd reactions is the right thing to do, and WWE will have plenty of opportunities to finally transition Reigns to the darkside before next April.

The previous Roman vs. Brock feud was beyond lame (title belt tug of war, anyone?), but Brock’s current Universal Title run gives WWE a chance to rectify this. Part of the problem was that WWE were reluctant to have either man show weakness ahead of the event, but Evil Roman would open up all kinds of new possibilities. Have him abuse Heyman and play dirty to get the upperhand on Lesnar, and both men should walk into the match with believable motivations.
