10 Directions NXT Should Look At For 2017
1. Bring In A Mid-Card Title
At the moment, there is a vast array of top guys who could very genuinely do well holding the NXT Championship. Unfortunately for them, the limited number of titles available in singles competition and the overall design of NXT which favours short stays over long term plans, makes it difficult to realistically see all of them holding the title.
Now, there is nothing wrong with people moving up or on from NXT without ever having held the NXT Championship. However, in terms of longevity and continued intrigue in the product, NXT desperately needs something new. By introducing a brand new championship, guys like No Way Jose and Roderick Strong, genuinely good wrestlers, would receive an opportunity for a title run, as well as further experience in a major feud over something substantial.
With only three championships available and not enough permanent members of each division, another title might very well be the breath of fresh air that could bump up other guys and provide experience and opportunities for more people.
