10 Directions WWE Can Go After Battleground 2015

9. ...Or Make Him A Transitional Champion

This move would generate a lot of short term criticism, but could inject a healthy dose of intrigue and excitement into SummerSlam. Were the WWE to have Sheamus cash-in on an upcoming episode of Raw (perhaps taking advantage of a post-beatdown Rollins), the whole main event landscape would be blown wide open. Sheamus going into SummerSlam as defending champion gives the WWE a perfect excuse to book a multi-man elimination title match, resulting in the most unpredictable main event since WrestleMania. Potential contenders would include Rollins, Ambrose, Reigns, Wyatt, Owens and Lesnar. Even the Undertaker could make an appearance. The only issue would be filling the rest of the card after relying upon such a star-studded main event.
