10 Disappointing Wrestling Reveals That Let EVERYBODY Down

5. Paul Roma Joins The Four Horsemen

Speaking of over-promising and under-delivering...

When Ric Flair and Arn Anderson promised to reform the iconic Four Horsemen in 1993, the wrestling world took notice. The Four Horsemen were an integral part of the '80s wrestling landscape, and WCW fans were ecstatic at the thought of Flair, the Anderson brothers and Tully Blanchard once again wreaking havoc on the rest of the WCW roster.

What they got was Flair, the Anderson brothers... and Paul Roma.

In this case, three out of four didn't make a passing grade. Paul Roma - who had spent the majority of his career being jobbed out in the WWE - would later admit he had never watched the Four Horsemen prior to joining the group, but anyone who saw his clueless attempts to fit in could have guessed that.

Fans immediately turned on Roma, and he failed to win them back as he consistently failed to display the style, attitude, charisma and workrate that had defined the Four Horsemen when Blanchard was part of the group.

The above picture says it all - you've got the stylin' and proflin' Ric Flair; the Enforcer Arn Anderson; and Paul Roma, who looks like he's desperately trying to figure out how to do the Horsemen's signature taunt as he gives what appears to be a reversed Vulcan salute.

Beam him up, Scotty - nobody wants him here.
