10 Most Disgusting WWE Promotional Tactics Ever

7. Making Fun Of Jerry Lawler's Heart Attack

Jerry Lawler suffered a heart attack live on Raw while doing commentary on September 10, 2012 in Montreal. It was one of the most surreal things we have ever seen on WWE TV. Lawler started snoring and then passed out right at the announce table. Michael Cole, his broadcast partner, yelled for a doctor (he hit mute so it wasn't heard on air) and the show continued on. http://youtu.be/bWKx89cqxLc Thankfully the ringside doctor was there to save Lawler. He was rushed to the hospital and at the end of Raw that night, those of us watching at home were informed that he was breathing on his own. He would be okay. Two months after his heart attack, Lawler returned to WWE. It was great to see him back out there. Fans may think that Lawler is past his prime and maybe shouldn't be on Raw as much as he is, but we were certainly happy to see him back doing his job to the best of his abilities. http://youtu.be/Za2TcFM1mdE On the November 12, 2012 edition of Raw, heel WWE Champion CM Punk and his advocate Paul Heyman was with him. Punk told Lawler not to croak before the PPV while Heyman was coughing, then he collapsed in a mocking manner and then they started laughing about the heart attack that Lawler had. It was cheap heel heat that WWE does all the time, but the near death of Lawler was still something heavy on the hearts of the fans, so it was considered a tasteless move on WWE's part.
