1. Dominik Mysterio

Dominik has been heavily involved in Rey and Seth Rollins’ feud as of late, seeking retribution for the injuries Seth inflicted on Rey and taking his eye. And from a character standpoint, you have to seriously contend that Dominik might have the most disturbing backstory of them all before he trained to be a wrestler when older. It all stems from his father Rey Mysterio’s 2005 feud with Eddie Guerrero, where they both fought over custody of then 8-year-old Dominik.

Really, think about it. From Dominik’s perspective he was a happy-go-lucky kid when his uncle Eddie brutally turned on his Dad and tormented him emotionally and physically for months, with Guerrero later revealing, with his parents crying in the ring, that he was Dominik’s biological father. That resulted in social services taking Dominik away from his parents only for Rey and Eddie to clash in a ladder match, not for a title, but for his custody hanging above the ring.

Dominik, in wrestling canon, technically still has Eddie Guerrero as his biological father. Dominik’s detailed how in real-life the angle affected him growing up, saying: “I believe I was in the third grade at the time. Everyone would ask me, 'So who really is your dad? Is it Eddie? Is it Rey?' And I'd be like, 'Well, it's Rey.' That was always the question every time I got back. Still to this day people are like, 'So who really is your dad?'"
