Before reading, think about this: a little over two years before booking Scott Hall's real-life demons as an angle, he'd strolled onto Nitro in 1996 and kickstarted the nWo angle. By late-1998, Hall was being penned as a struggling alcoholic who couldn't wrestle a match without blowing chunks due to excessive drinking.

This is something Eric Bischoff has said on his '83 Weeks' podcast he regrets. No wonder.

Following a seven-minute match with Lex Luger on the 14 September '98 episode, Hall was comforted at ringside by some of his old buddies. Kevin Nash looked like a disappointed father as he watched his running buddy struggle, and Bischoff couldn't hide his disgust when Scott vomited all over him.

Using puke as a plot device was the least of this angle's worries. Away from the ring, Hall was legit straining to keep a lid on his demons, and it was tactless for WCW to use that in storyline. You might've forgotten about 'vomit-gate'.
