10 Dominant NXT Forces (That Were Ruined Immediately On WWE's Main Roster)

5. Shayna Baszler

There are few more legitimate fighters than Shayna Baszler on WWE's entire roster. The former mixed martial artist effortlessly transitioned into professional wrestling and quickly became a feared figure of the NXT women's division.

Record-breaking title runs and numerous acclaimed matches earmarked Baszler as a future star on the main roster. An impressive victory at Survivor Series 2019 over both Bayley and Becky Lynch put her on the map and her main roster dominance seemed like it would come to fruition imminently.

Despite being the heavy favourite to win the Women's Rumble earlier this year, she instead lost out to Charlotte Flair, but debuted on Raw by attacking Becky Lynch a couple of weeks later.

During the attack, Shayna memorably bit Becky on the back of the neck. While the idea may have been good on paper as a Mike Tyson-like moment, the excessive blood that smeared Shayna's mouth made the segment come across a bit goofy.

A dominant display in the Elimination Chamber did go some way in repairing the damage of the segment, but a shock roll-up loss to Lynch at WrestleMania rendered the whole push fairly pointless.

There is still potential for Baszler to be a success on the main roster, but the damaging defeat to Becky will make it difficult for her to ever become the fearsome monster she could have been.
