10 Dream Opponents For CM Punk In WWE

2. Roman Reigns

WWE WrestleMania 40 XL CM Punk Seth Rollins

Picture this: Roman Reigns successfully topples Seth Rollins at Survivor Series in Chicago. Just as he's leaving, 'Cult Of Personality' blasts over the PA and a sold out Allstate Arena loses it. Suddenly, a smirking CM Punk appears and stares down the 'Tribal Chief' as Paul Heyman's eyes bug out of his skull.

That'd be a powerful way to end the PLE.

Punk and Heyman have lots of history to dig up during such a feud, and Reigns is a shrewd enough businessman to realise that CM (whilst definitely WWE's past) could prolong his title run and deliver another box office smash hit for the company in the process.

Realistically, Punk wouldn't be coming back to dominate WWE anyway. He'd be there to make oodles of cash and work some big time matches, but there's no way he's supplanting someone like Roman in the championship picture. What a moment that'd be though. It'd be worth it just for the crowd pop alone.
