10 Dream Steve Austin WWE WrestleMania Matches We'd Rather See

7. Triple H

Christ knows what the future holds for Triple H in WWE. Everything, now that his "baby" has been rebranded as NXT 2.0 and taken away from him, seems so up in the air for 'The Game'. Some are even guessing that AEW could be his next destination, which once seemed impossible.

It still sounds far-fetched, to be fair. Conveniently, the same could be said about the latest chapter in a feud that last hit rings back in 2001/2002, but man...Austin vs. Triple H was always a fun ride, and Hunter has the kind of star power that Steve's return deserves.

Like Hogan, it's not gonna happen in 2022. Besides, Trips enjoys working lengthy bouts on WrestleMania cards (his latest vs. Batista at 35 was the longest on the show), and nobody has any idea if Austin would be able to turn back the clock and produce the goods for that length of time.

This could've happened five years ago.
